Four Bombers Baseball Club 19u+ Pitchers Team Up In Shutout Victory Against A’s
Bombers Baseball Club 19u+ defeated A’s 2-0 on Tuesday as four pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Manny Sanchez induced a groundout from Bulgia to finish off the game.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Bombers Baseball Club 19u+ pitchers struck out seven, while A’s pitchers sat down six.
One bright spot for A’s was a single by Dauban in the first inning.
Tom Pecchia toed the rubber for Bombers Baseball Club 19u+. He went two innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out two and walking one.
McCarthy was on the hill for A’s. He surrendered zero runs on zero hits over three innings, striking out two. #7, #17, and #33 each contributed in relief for A’s.
Justin Perrotta, Mat Bruno, and Evan Hunter each collected one hit to lead Bombers Baseball Club 19u+. Bombers Baseball Club 19u+ didn’t commit a single error in the field. Matt Bischoff had six chances in the field, the most on the team.
A’s didn’t commit a single error in the field. McCarthy had the most chances in the field with one.
