The Bombers Baseball Club made a big splash this past weekend by acquiring the rights to catching phenom Guillermo Davida from the Dominican Winter League deep talent pool of players.

Said Bombers GM Steve Riccio about the acquisition:  “We felt strongly that all our international pool money needed to be invested in the top prospect in the world – which we have identified as Davida.  Guillermo’s birth certificate indicates he is 17 years old and the upside expected of further development of his skills over the next few years was too good to pass up.  Davida is already both an accomplished hitter and defensive +++ backstop.”

When reached for comment, an excited Guillermo said “Donde esta la biblioteca?”  Riccio was pleased when hearing this because he knew his international signing gem was ready to hit the books and deeply immerse himself if the finer points and philosophical details of catching.
