Prior to becoming a star at Boston College, Joe Vetrano from Lakeland HS in Shrub Oak NY was a member of the Bombers Baseball Club from the age of 12 to 18. He is a special person that comes from a great family. I am not a not a professional evaluator of talent but even for me, just a casual average observer of the games and it’s hundreds of thousands of young players, the first few times I saw Joe play as a 12 year old, i rubbed my eyes and said “wow”! Pretty much every game or tournament he was in we had other coaches and fans coming up to us and asking “who is THAT???” I have never seen a more complete player in all the years I have been doing this – his raw physical ability, his 5 baseball “tools”, work ethic and humble nature have led Joe to the doorstep of joining MLB in their 2023 draft taking place the next few days. We have all been lucky to have seen Joe playing for us over the years. We wish Joe and his family well and know he will be a success in baseball and beyond. Please see links below on Joe Vertrano which include recent news stories and video on him.
